This is something I did for a digital imaging class. We were assigned to romanticize a childhood memory by turning it into a more detailed narrative. Unfortunately I have no memories. Of anything. In fact I would be lucky to remember if I ate breakfast this morning. However I do know that I enjoy video games and grew up with Nintendo and Mario, which introduced me to a world I never thought possible. Yes, that is the world of sitting on my ass all day, bringing me closer and closer to failing grades and a brain tumor.
Aside from that, though, I had fun. Nowadays we have all these high tech games with physics and advanced AI that require you to have a Ph.D in quantum mechanics to know how the hell to play, and have characters so realistic they can jump out of the screen to choke slam you into your coffee table and maybe even give you a soothing massage right after. This is nice and all - I mean who doesn't like a good back rub? But sometimes you just say to yourself, "Enough with the bullshit, time for some good old fashioned turtle stomping."
And mushrooms. Gotta love the shrooms.
